If it is compare with the famous of kopi Luwak, I thinks kopi toraja is bellow the kopi Luwak, But believe me, the taste of kopi Toraja is not lose with the Kopi Luwak.

Kopi Toraja is an Arabica coffee that growth in Tana Toraja. Tana Toraja is one of the best tourism place in South Sulawesi (approximatly 500 KM from Makassar), Indonesia , and it is a recommended place to go when you come to Indonesia. Beside arabica coffee, the people in Tana Toraja also plant the Robusta coffee in their filed, and it is also know as Kopi Toraja.

These kopi Toraja are easy to find in some city in South Sulawesi, specially in Tana Toraja. You can buy the Kopi powder with the cheap price in some traditional market in Makale and Rantepao.If you drink the hot Kopi Toraja, I guarantee that you can find the strong taste of coffee. Some of my friends usually add more sugar and milk in their coffee, but I recommend you to drink the original coffee with sugar only, or I call it the black coffee. It is more good that you add milk, and will give you a different taste.

Kopi Toraja is suitable to drink at night, or in the cold weather. But sometime, poeple here drink it at day also. It is depand on you which time do you prefer to drink it. If you can not go to Tana Toraja, you can buy the coffee powder in some store in Makassar, specially if you go to Jalan Sulawesi. Many stores sell it there, but the price is more expensive than if you buy it in Tana Toraja. And, if you are interesting to drink the hot coffee, you can go to Cafe Phoenam or go to the some hotels in Makassar. Just go to Tana Toraja or Makassar, and try it….
